Impact Report 2025-26

We are pleased to share our 2025-26 Impact Report, reflecting a year of significant growth made possible by the many people, partners and supporters who contribute to this work.

This year marked an important milestone for Southside Justice. Building on years of investment in our people and partnerships, we emerged as a stronger, more capable organisation with an even greater role to play in the years ahead.

With income increasing by 58% this year, we were able to expand our capacity and deepen our expertise on legal issues impacting our communities, including across our Partners in Place program, REACHher program, and our integration into the Alexis-Family Violence Response Model.

While the report highlights key achievements from across the year, it also reflects an ongoing shift in how we think about impact.

As a community legal centre, our work is not only about the services we deliver or the number of people we assist. Those measures are important, but they tell only part of the story. We are increasingly focused on understanding the difference our work makes: for individuals, for communities and for the systems that shape people’s lives.

Through legal assistance, trusted community partnerships and systemic advocacy, we seek to strengthen the conditions in which just and fair outcomes are more likely to emerge. The experiences of our clients help shape the advocacy we pursue, connecting individual challenges with opportunities for broader, lasting change. We are grateful to our clients for their ongoing trust, often during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

The achievements outlined in this report were made possible through the support of many people and organisations. We are grateful to our funders, donors, pro bono partners, volunteers, community partners and advocates whose commitment has helped Southside Justice grow with purpose.
