We don’t provide immediate legal advice over the phone, and we only provide free advice to people who are eligible for our services. We don’t take enquiries by email.

Where to get legal advice over the phone

To receive free legal information over the phone, you can call Victoria Legal Aid or use its online live chat service, Legal Help Chat. Victoria Legal Aid also offer referrals and free legal advice for those who are eligible.

Call the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450 and ask to speak to Southside Justice on (03) 7037 3200.

If you are deaf or find it hard to hear or speak on the phone, you can contact us through the National Relay Service.

The National Relay Service is free apart from your normal internet connection. You need an account to use it.

  2. Login to your account
  3. Ask to contact Southside Justice’s number (03) 7037 3200
  4. A relay officer will contact us on your behalf.
