Southside Justice is one of Victoria’s longest running community legal centres. We were established in 1973 by a group of passionate volunteers with the goal of enhancing access to justice for people disproportionately affected by systemic inequity.
Following the decriminalisation of sex work in Victoria in 2022, we formalised our long-standing work with sex workers by establishing the Sex Worker Legal Program (SWLP). The program is Victoria’s only dedicated legal service that specialises in sex workers’ rights.
We partner with peer organisations to ensure sex workers can access specialist, rights-affirming legal support that responds to the realities sex workers face in Victoria.
Our work is powered by a community that cares – passionate locals, dedicated philanthropists, and valued giving partners.
When you join our Community of Supporters, you’re not just contributing. You are helping build a future grounded in fairness, safety, and opportunity for everyone.
