Southside Justice 2024/5 Impact Report
This year’s report is framed by our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, reflecting our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
This year, our report is framed by four key questions:
- What did we deliver?
- How well did we deliver it?
- What changed as a result?
- What have we learned?
This shift in approach means we’re not only counting numbers but learning from them, ensuring that every program and partnership strengthens our ability to deliver accessible, high-quality legal support where it’s needed most.
Highlights from this year include:
- Staff wellbeing
For the second consecutive year, 100% of staff agreed Southside Justice is a great place to work, reflecting a strong organisational commitment to leadership development, growth, and wellbeing. - Expansion through meaningful partnerships
Over the past year, key collaborations have enabled growth in family law capacity and funded high-impact new initiatives, such as the Alexis Family Violence Response Model integration. - Enhanced advocacy
This year we confidently led key advocacy efforts. Our campaigns to secure funding for the Sex Worker Legal Program, uplift the voices of residents in public housing, and challenge unjust responses to the homelessness crisis, are key examples of our advocacy making a difference.
We acknowledge and thank our staff, Board of Directors, funders, and clients, particularly those who have generously shared their stories as part of this report. Their voices remind us why this work matters and guide us toward even greater impact.
